“Not only are the rooms brighter but all the character has been restored”

“Our house is a 17th century timber framed building, with old exposed oak beams in most rooms that had been painted a very dark brown. We wanted to get the appearance of the house back to the original untreated oak, but were put off having our beams sand blasted because of the disruption involved, and possible damage to delicate timbers. So we went with Pillar to Post as they offered a no-mess, non-invasive process. We had all the beams in our house treated and are really pleased with the results. Not only are the rooms brighter but all the character that was lost under thick coats of dark paint has been restored. What’s more, the finish that they used means there was no need for us to have the timbers stripped, varnished or stained, and there was no need to vacate the house or put up with messy dust extraction. We are very happy to endorse their approach, and recommend them for anyone facing a similar situation.” Dr Mike Burr. Oak Beam Restoration. Oak Beam Renovation. Oak Beam Cleaning. Oak Beam Stripping.
